Producing video content can enhance and impress at any job--but when your job is not to make videos, getting started can be intimidating. We review the fundamental activities for planning PR campaigns and supporting clients.

Discovery social media, which leverages algorithms to deliver content to audiences not otherwise subscribed to our channels, provides an opportunity to increase the visibility of UNC among potential students to generate admissions leads. The advisors in Student Academic Success often represent their colleges at recruitment events on campus, and the proposed YouTube campaign extends that representation to external audiences. The content created for YouTube Shorts takes the form of 60-second video clips of UNC staff providing tips for the college transition: all the content will be posted to the Student Academic Success YouTube Channel, managed by the Professional Practice Specialist. The pilot campaign will run from March 1-June 1 followed by an analysis of the goals and sustainability in the production of content. Student Academic Success has the recording equipment and human resources to run the campaign with no additional costs. Goals: • Increase the positive visibility of our campus on YouTube o Measure engagement on content (Likes and Comment Sentiment) o Track Views and Reach • Generate leads for admissions information o Track Clicks on content links o Respond to Messages/Comments

Step 1 of Ready, Set Register is Checking and Clearing your Holds. A Hold is something that will cause a registration error on your account--meaning you can't add or drop classes.
