Division Strategist: Training and Development

February 2021-July 2022

I coordinated professional development programming for 40+ academic advisors at UNC-Greeley, CO.

This position was created to maintain consistency across colleges and to assess the institution-level efforts to promote student success and retention.

We had 30+ professional practice expectations within four core competency areas that I developed content to serve. I use similar learning outcomes and assessment strategies as an instructor in a classroom to ensure the opportunities and materials align with the needs of the staff.

I used video for self-paced content, offered live workshops, and wrote static documents to serve the academic advisors on campus.

Student Success Coach

June 2019- February 2021; promoted to Lead Coach May 2020

To support our goals, I assess our practices and implement changes as needed. I then train and supervise two Success Coaches and three Student Support Specialists in our Student Success Resource Center.

Our purpose is to support students across the College of Humanities/Social Sciences with the transition into UNC: connecting them to cultural, academic, and social resources; advising with degree planning and course selection; collaborating with campus and cultural offices in student engagement; and performing outreach and recruiting for the college.

I also create multi-media content for events, newsletters, and resources.
